Twitter Conference 2020

We attend conferences for a number of reasons: to share and get feedback on our research, take stock of the field, set research and institutional priorities, find and connect with mentors, catch up with old friends and make new ones, and break bread together. We unfortunately missed some aspects of the conference experience this year, but we were still able to share our work and connect with each other through a joint ASFS/AFHVS Twitter Conference, July 23-25. A combination of Twitter pros and first-time users from both organizations came together to share their food studies research, resulting in 40 unique presentation threads and over 60 panelists. Participants tagged their presentations with our ongoing conference hashtag #foodstudies20, which allowed us to track and collect their posts to share on Twitter and here on our website.
